How NannyUAE works

What we do, what we never do, and how to stay safe

NannyUAE is an independent profile-discovery platform for adults. We do not employ, recruit, sponsor or place domestic workers. Families and candidates communicate directly and remain responsible for following UAE employment requirements.

How it works

  1. A nanny creates a free account, or sends us her own CV, on the website or on WhatsApp.
  2. If she sends a CV, NannyUAE prepares a private draft of her profile from it. Nobody else can see a draft.
  3. She checks every detail, corrects anything that is wrong, and adds her photo.
  4. She confirms she is 18 or over, and chooses to publish. Nothing is shown to families until she does.
  5. Families browse the profiles and contact the candidates they choose, directly.

NannyUAE does not take part in employment, sponsorship, payment or visa arrangements. Salary, hours, contracts and visas are agreed between the family and the candidate.

What we never do

NannyUAE does not:

  • Sell or transfer workers
  • Keep anyone's passport
  • Arrange travel
  • Sell visas
  • Collect salaries on behalf of workers
  • Charge candidates recruitment fees
  • Guarantee employment

Safety advice for nannies

  • Never pay anyone to guarantee you a job.
  • Never send your passport or bank details through a conversation you have not verified.
  • Never hand over your passport to an employer or to anyone else.
  • Report suspicious, coercive or inappropriate requests straight away.

A real employer never needs you to pay for a job. If someone asks you for money, for your passport, or for anything that makes you uncomfortable, stop and tell us.

Safety advice for families

  • Interview candidates carefully.
  • Check identity and references, with the candidate's consent.
  • Put the employment terms in writing.
  • Complete every legally required step through the proper UAE channels.

Profiles show what each candidate tells us about herself. NannyUAE does not check identities, references or work status, so these steps are yours to take.

The rules every family agrees to

Before a family can see a nanny's contact details, she agrees to these rules. Every family on NannyUAE agrees that they will not:

  • Ask for, or keep, a candidate's passport
  • Ask a candidate to pay recruitment or visa fees
  • Ask for sexual or inappropriate services
  • Give false information about the salary, duties or accommodation
  • Threaten or coerce a candidate
  • Try to get around UAE employment requirements

Families who break these rules may lose access to NannyUAE.

If something is wrong

Every profile has a Report this profile link under its contact buttons. You do not need an account to use it, and a person at NannyUAE reads every report. You can also message us on WhatsApp.

If someone is in danger right now, call the UAE police on 999.

Your profile, your choice

A nanny can hide her profile, or delete it and everything we hold about her, at any time from her account. Read more in our privacy policy and terms of use.
