How NannyUAE Uses AI, and Where We Deliberately Do Not

What we automated, what it costs, and the things we will not hand to a model on a site about childcare.

Most sites that mention AI are asking you to trust something you cannot see. This page is the opposite: it is a list of exactly where a model touches NannyUAE, what it costs us, and the three places we refuse to use one. If you are a parent deciding who looks after your child, you are entitled to know which parts of a site are a machine.

Where AI actually does something

1. Your CV becomes your profile

Filling in a nanny profile is about fifteen minutes of typing on a phone, often in a second language, often standing up. It is the single biggest reason profiles stay half finished: on our own roster, 87 of 184 nannies had not filled in a single skill.

So a nanny can send her CV instead, on the website or on WhatsApp, and a model reads it and fills in the fields: name, nationality, languages, the ages she has cared for, what else she does besides childcare, and a first draft of her description. She then signs in, checks every line, adds a photo and presses Publish herself.

The cost is about one tenth of a US cent per CV. We publish that number because it makes a point: this is not expensive technology, it is just work nobody had bothered to remove.

2. A WhatsApp assistant that answers at 3am

Nannies message on WhatsApp, not email, and rarely during office hours. An assistant answers the common questions immediately: how to create a profile, why an email code has not arrived, how to change a phone number. Anything it is unsure about goes to a person, and it now says so rather than going quiet.

It is held to its own transcripts. Every answer that was wrong becomes a test case that is replayed against the instructions before any change ships, so the same mistake cannot return quietly. A separate tool reads the week's conversations and flags the ones that went wrong: no reply, the same question asked twice, a contradiction. It proposes fixes and a person decides. It is never allowed to edit its own instructions.

3. Reading what families ask for

When a family describes what she needs in her own words, those descriptions are grouped so we can see what is actually in demand. It is how we learned that housework is the second most common request after childcare itself, and that the skills filter almost nobody uses is the one that would answer it.

The three places we will not use it

We do not rank or recommend anyone

No model scores a nanny, ranks her, or decides who you see first. The order is recently active first, and everything after that is the filters you chose. A recommendation engine on a childcare site is a black box deciding whose family eats, and neither the nanny nor the parent could see why.

We do not vet, verify or background check, and neither does a machine

Every profile is what that person says about herself. We do not check it, and we do not use AI to pretend we have. This is the most important sentence on the page: a parent who believes a site has screened someone behaves differently at the interview, and that belief is the dangerous thing, not the profile.

It shapes the small decisions too. When a CV calls a nanny reliable, trustworthy or dedicated, those words are stripped out of the draft, because a description generated from a document reads as though someone checked it.

We do not let AI fill in a salary

A CV states what a nanny was paid before. The profile field means what she is asking for now. They are not the same number, and a confident wrong one costs her money every month of the job while looking exactly like a figure she chose. The field is left empty for her to fill in.

What it costs you

Nothing, on either side. No fee to browse, no fee to contact anyone, no commission, no subscription to unlock a phone number.

For comparison: hiring through a Tadbeer centre in the UAE typically means a recruitment fee in the thousands of dirhams before salary, and some nanny marketplaces charge families a few hundred dirhams for access to candidate contact details. Those services include things we do not offer, visa sponsorship and replacement guarantees among them. The trade is real and worth understanding before you choose.

Why publish this at all

Because "we use AI" is marketing, and a list of what it touches is a promise you can hold us to. If you find any of it untrue, tell us: there is a feedback form on every page, and most of what changed on this site in the last month changed because somebody used it.
